SNOWDROP SUNDAY

Hartland Abbey is opens its gates February so that people are able to come and enjoy the snowdrops which are so beautiful at this time of year and which normally can never be enjoyed by our visitors. These pretty spring flowers are spread out all over the gardens, woodland walks and the walk to the beach so there is a chance for plenty of fresh air and exercise as well! Apart from the snowdrops, primroses, early bulbs and the mimosas, plenty of our wonderful collection of camellias should be flowering but with the vagaries of the English winter weather, who knows what will be out! Refreshments and cream teas will be provided in the old kitchens in aid of St Nectan’s Church and the house will be open as well from 1pm at a small extra charge for those who would like to see inside.

Entrance to the gardens and grounds will be only £3 for adults with children free (2008).
Dogs are very welcome but on leads please. Wellington boots are definitely recommended!
